Need help removing Chase Plane without VFXCentral

Ok so here's what happened, sombody gave me a copy of Chase Plane to try out and see if I would like it for my videos because long as I had FSX I've never used it so of course I said sure I'll try it out. So I hate it, plain and simple and Chase Plane removes your virtual cockpits of ALL your aircraft, that was the 1st thing that pissed me off, nope, if your not gonna give me options to views without changing and removing my FSX default views and taking control of my sim I don't want it period. So now this crap is stuck in my sim and I can't get it out, I spent ALL damn day yesterday uninstalling and reinstalling fsx, removing camara file and nothing is working, this crap is STILL stuck in my sim so I hope somebody out here has a process to restore my FSX virtual cockpit views without using the VFXCentral crap.......help help help sos sos sos

It just strengthen my stance against Payware Mods.....if your gonna charge you should offer a @#$@#$@#$ demo so people can try out 1st and see if they wanna spend money with your sorry azz company, and ANY mod that removes default content from ANY game should be sued to the fulliest by the developers of that game!!! You wanna make mods, fine but don't deleting crap out of the base game without permissions! I will NEVER spend one damn dime with Old Prop for NONE of their crap now even if I do get my sim fixed. And from here on out, if Paywear mods don't offer a up front demo you'll never get one dime from me either....

Uncle_D, after you calm down, try this:

1) Re-download VFX Central.
https://oldprop.com/sim/install/

2) Uninstall ChasePlane from VFX Central

3) Go to Windows Programs and Features and uninstall VFX Central.

I only own PrecipitFX and love it. I will likely try ChasePlane eventually. It's too bad the latter wasn't compatible with whatever settings you have on FSX.

Yeah BF Bullpup, you got it right I'm pissed, Chase Plane is not reading my controler and the there is no FSX help online, just P3D and those steps do not work in FSX, also VFX is not working for me because this was a gift and I don't have a serial number for my copy and can't back in contact with who gave me this........so my question is there has to be a way I can reset my fsx files and get rid of this crap without VFX?????

Oh I see!!! So you used your friend's serial number... did you use your friend's user name/password as well, or did you create your own?

You would need to go to C:/Users/yourusername/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX-SE/. You should be able to see the Cameras.CFG file. Make a duplicate with a different name (just in case, delete the original, and restart FSX like in the instructions in the link above. You will need to turn on Hidden items in Windows to be able to see the AppData folder.

That info is for P3D and I already tried all of that, Chase Plane keeps readding it's self smdh

So you already quit the simulator, go to the FSX-SE folder in AppData, deleted Cameras.CFG, and restarted FSX? Still no joy? Sorry I'm stuck then. P3D is very similar to FSX in file structure so it was worth a shot. Verify the integrity of your FSX files via Steam? Totally uninstall and reinstall FSX-SE? I can't think of any other way, sorry. Yeah, I already did that, FSX put the same messed up camara views right back in.

ok I think you might have just helped me out, I now see the right Cameras.CFG file with the Chase Plane in it and it was not in the FSX_SE folder it's in the FSX folder same location so let me see if I delete those Chase Plane views and see if that helps

Welp, that got rid of the Chase Plane views but now the virtual cockpit is missing but everthing else is back work like it should, gonna have Steam verify game files and that "should" put the virtual cockpit back in.....jesus christ now I don't wanna buy NOTHING from this company smdh

Think I figured out the problem too with the virtual views.......gonna load it back up and fingers crossed, this last step should do it

Virtual cockpit view restored! You don't really need to removed the Camara cfg, I just opened it with notepad and removed the Chase Plane views, and there were double "//" blocking each line of the virtual cockpit view so removed all the double "//" and I'm back in bizzness. Thank you for the CORRECT folders to go look in. All correct views restored and controller functions

Yeah thanks to guys like you guys in here who cared, support turned their backs on me and got really "♥♥♥♥♥ you since you didn't buy it" with me......so now guess what.....I'll NEVER spent ah damn dollar with Old Prop now.....they crap don't work for me anyway....
