FSX:SE Scenery Error
I keep getting a scenery.cfg error for area 006 and area 120. I have already try to reinstall the game but still get the errors. I also already look into the scenery.cfg file and found that it the same as the default scenery.cfg. I got these errors after I accidently hit edit areas. What do I need to do to get rid of the error?

Could you provide the code in scenery.cfg (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX) for the areas? For example - Area 3:
[Area.003]
Title=0000 Base
Local=Scenery\0000
Layer=3
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE

Under the FSX folder create a folder named "Addon Scenery" and under that folder create two folders named Scenery and Texture.

Should resolve the issue for you.

I have an Addon Scenery folder with a scenery and texture folder inside it but still get the error. The code in my scenery.cfg is-
[Area.006]
Title=0003 Base
Local=Scenery\0003
Layer=6
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE

[Area.120]
Title=Addon Scenery
Local=Addon Scenery
Layer=120
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
TWO folders inside addon scenery. one named texture the other named scenery.

Make doubly sure the FSX-SE main application folder contains a folder named "Addon Scenery" and that within that folder there are two additional folders named Scenery and Texture. This seems to be the case in your instance and it's possible a scenery folder path has gone astray.

For scenery.cfg editing this link will provide a Java based scenery configuration editor that is super easy to use and should help you find out what is going on.

Just be sure to configure the preference paths properly !

Thanks Rogen, the scenery configuration editor show the addon scenery and area 006 error is the path is not unique. So how do I make them unique?
Rogen Jul 4, 2018 @ 1:08pm
If both those paths are the same (i.e. not unique) then one of those paths is wrong as each should point to their own respective and unique path.

The Scenery config tool has the option to expand paths in its Action menu and will allow you to see which path is the incorrect one, at that point you can use the tool to edit and correct the path.

For example on my FSX-SE install the 0003 Base path (your Area 006) points to,
E:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\Scenery\0003

And the Addon Scenery path points to,
E:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\Addon Scenery

Cheers
