Thank you for your response... I actually spent the past 24 hrs flying/playing/Learning with the FSX F/A-18 ... And sorta/kinda figured out a few things ... Landed a few times (not my best of landings) Im having the most trouble stopping without flipping ( I'm 50/50 ), Breaking/Stopping is horible... it slides all over the tarmac. Other than that I enjoy the speed and the actual fly-ability of this mod. I don"'t overdo the speed, I mostly fly 200- 500 nm p/h ... I learned that the after buner drinks fuel like crazy.. anyway thank you...
...Well I'm not attempting any carrier landings as of yet.I am fairly new to this aircraft.. But stopping it after landing is horrific ,After some research I am finding out it has been THE PROBLEM with many sim pilots for some time now. they have offered some possible remedies like adjusting the realism setting might offer some relief.
I really enjoy flying the Cessna (172, 182, Caravan)...I was introduced to whatever version of FS in 1988 then I purchased FS 95, 98, 2000, 2002. I skipped 2004 and remained with 2002 up until October of 2018..(LOL RIGHT!!!)...
I would go the local airport Pilot shop and actually purchase the approach plates(expired of course $5-$10 depending on the city of purchase)... Now I just DL them from AIRVNAV.COM, So I am quiet familiar with the procedures...
Anyway last year I purchased the Steam version of FSX and have enjoyed flying the various aircrafts it had to offer, Mostly single engine props( I like the realistic feel and probability). but about 2 months ago in flew the DC-3 and loved it . About 30 days ago I decided to try the passanger jets. And found that the 737-800 was the one for me... Now my goto aircraft. I can fly longer destinations. ( I like the way I can bring up the various screen displays ie: MFD, HSI and IECAS )as adjustable "POP-UP windows" being able to see/read that information
without switching to the 2D panel made a big difference, Seeing that I fly from the virtual cockpit
So my question is... Is there a way to adjust the actual size of the TEXT in the Digital Display panels in the F/A-18 to avoid the letters overlapping each other. The FLTPLN info( in the HSI/GPS) is jumbled and makes it impossible to read some vital info....Thanks in advance ...I greatly appreciate your help...
