However set the resolution in fsx it always run at full resolution of monitor so the performance is decreased as monitor is 4K and also fonts are very small. The edition on CD has correctly responded to resolution change. Also the aspect ratio is correct in 4:3 only in 16:9 is streached no matter the resolution setting.

Yes, but whtever resolution in game is set it seems that it always work in monitor default resolution. All text is always very small in 4K and performance is juddery.

Open up your C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\fsx.cfg file in Notepad.

Find the line that says [DISPLAY] and add a line that says "WideViewAspect=True" in it. Don't type the quotes. Don't change any other lines. Just add this one new one. FSX will be in 16:9 from then on.

It behaves very strange, first after set on the wide it displayed correct aspect ratio 4:3 but after several changes of resolution it streached again to 16:9 and not responsive to chenge the resolution in correct aspect again.
