Vpilot and FSX to overlap - VATSIM
Is there a way to overlap the vpilot tab and fax as currently every time I'm using vpilot It pauses my live VATSIM flight on fax which I don't want it to do, then disconnecting me from the server :( glad if anyone could help please.

Try FSX - settings - general - and it's the pause on task switch selection.

First - Take the short P1 course on VatSIM. It answers a lot of questions.
The way I do it: I put FSX in windowed mode with ALT+ Enter and have vPilot placed right below the FSX window. It's the swiftest solution.
Also be on voice, no need to switch that way.

Thank yu for your help. Problem has been resolved. :)

But seriously: please do some studying before you connect to VatSIM or IVAO. The P1 course is really very simple and basic and even without doing the test in the end it brings you up to speed to the right beginnerslevel.

It's a real spoiler for others when people connect without even knowing how their software works. (In your case: at least you notice it and do something about it, which is highly appreciated!!! :-) )

What do you mean by 'P1 coure'?

I would think on the main vatsim.net page ( https://academy.vatsim.net/ ) and down at the bottom where it says "P1 - VATSIM Online Pilot Rating" under the heading AVAILABLE COURSES would be a good place to start. I'm not registered there, but that seems like the place to go to start learning how to get a P1 VATSIM rating..

That's the one. Apart from usesfull these courses are fun to do as well. They'll teach you a lot about aviation and procedures in an accesable (is that a word?) manner. You'll love it because you can practise what you just read in the sim within a minute.

Welcome aboard Johnnyboy!

Another thing guys, any goood freeware FMC to use as the default GPS in FSX SE is not as realistic compared to an FMC system. Thanks for your help in advaance and glad to be onboard :)

The default CDU in FSX is a reallife system, it doesn't get more realistic then that. :-) You can like or hate the interface but it's the real thing.
