We're excited to announce Firefly Trials, a 3-player boss rush raidlike with fast-paced, MMO-inspired battles against mythological beasts. As a very small team of industry veterans, Firefly Trials began as a passion project between a husband-and-wife duo united by a shared love of raiding. We're also working closely with creative partners in Japan to bring our anime-inspired world and characters to life. We wanted to capture the mechanics, coordination, and fun without the long-term MMO commitment. So, Firefly Trials takes the parts of end-game MMO raiding we love most and makes it available for everyone to play in just 5 minutes with just 3 players. No trash mobs or dungeons to clear, just your team and epic boss battles.

The Trials are MMO-style battles where your team faces off against mythological beasts before roaring crowds. Choose from a growing roster of animal-inspired characters, queue up solo or with friends, and get straight into the fight. As you climb from E-Rank to S-Rank, fights evolve dramatically with new phases, attacks, modifiers, and layered encounter design built around coordination, adaptation, and mastery. Defeating bosses rewards powerful artifacts with traits you can mix-and-match to find the right combinations that tighten your rotation or change it entirely. Players can also flex their individual skill on the weekly competitive leaderboards, where your best clear times are tracked on every character. Climb the ranks, get stronger, and chase the title of world's best in Firefly Trials!

STRAIGHT TO THE END GAME: Jump straight into boss battles in 3-player MMO-style encounters with no dungeons, no trash mobs. Queue up solo or with friends and get right to the fight.

E-RANK TO S-RANK: Every boss runs from E-Rank up to S-Rank, and the fight changes meaningfully at every step. Higher ranks aren't just bigger health bars; they introduce new ability mutations, new phases, and new mechanics to master. Boss mechanics are layered even further by environment modifiers, so no two fights play the same.

LOOT & THEORYCRAFTING: Defeating bosses rewards powerful artifacts with traits you can mix-and-match across gear sets to chase new builds. Stack the right combinations to tighten your rotation, push your meters, and find new ways to win.

PVE COMPETITION: A ranked circuit shifts every week, and your clear times are recorded from E-Rank to S-Rank to earn extra rewards. Climb the leaderboards and prove you're the best.

A FRESH START EVERY SEASON: Every season brings new bosses, new characters, and an all-new pool of traits to theorycraft. A fresh meta and clean leaderboard each season opens up new optimal builds, team comps, and strategies to discover.
