Here are some steps to take:
1) Ensure that your computer meets all of the compatibility requirements:
OS: Windows 7 or newer
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD equivalent
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: DX11 compatible
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 1 GB available space
2) Double check that your graphics card supports DirectX 11 (check on the manufacturer’s website)
3) Install the latest drivers on your graphics card
4) If your computer has two graphics cards, make sure the game is launching with the DirectX 11 capable card (the solution is the same as the first item in the FAQ on our Steam forums).
5) Make sure you didn’t do any mods or binary hacks (alterations to the game in general) – we can’t help if there have been any mods and would have to recommend resetting the save data.
6) Ensure that your Windows username contains no special characters or internation characters (we have a known issue surrounding this)
7) I know you may have already done this, but just in case - try the following:
1. Open "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Metalhead\Super Mega Baseball\Config.ini" in Notepad
2. Set resx = 640, resy = 480, fullscreen = 0, anisotropy = 0, msaa = 0, shadowres = 256
3. Start the game again. Go into the Options menu and adjust the display settings to something your video card can handle.
If it still does not work:
1. Start the game with "-log 3" command line option. To do so: Right-click on the game in Steam, choose "Properties", click "Set Launch Options" and put in "-log"
2. Find the log here: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Metalhead\Super Mega Baseball\
3. Inspect the log file to see if anything obvious has gone wrong. If not, please contact us and provide us with the log file
Let me know how it goes!
I downloaded and installed SMB3 via Steam today and am unable to run it. Every time I double click on the Start button it sort of opens a new window and then closes it immediately.
Could you let me know what I can do to solve this please?
Best regards,
Praveen
