Как убрать вылеты с игры?

I'm not able to play the game properly. If I set the resolution to its max, the game won't open. If I use any of the lower resolutions, and then double jump outside in the first area of the game, it crashes. I also have no idea how to make the game windowed. Any help would be much appreciated here, and if I need to provide logs etc. I'm happy to do so....

I am just wondering if it's one of those games that doesn't list it but actually has controller support, as I have a lot of those. I'd find it essential in this kind of game and for a re release it really should have it.
