Save game location and transfer

Alright, so I've played this game on another computer with a friend and now I got it on Steam and I want to transfer the save file to my computer, but it straight up refuses to see it.

I have found that it uses D:\Program Files\Steam\userdata\*userID*\313690\remote\savedgames for save games, and for the test I have created a save in slot2. It is seen there, but when I transfer my slot1 save in there, the game does not see it, no matter what.

Any suggestions?

Did you copy the remotecache.vdf too ? i think you need that file.

Yes I did, does not work. But, I found probably the weirdest anomaly I've ever seen with save files:

'slot1' is the save 39% complete(the one I want to copy over), 'slot2' is the one I created today for testing purposes of where saves are. I have copied 'slot1' over to "\AppData\Roaming\Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment\LEGO Batman 3 Beyond Gotham\savedgames\" and "\userdata\" and just in case I have turned off Steam Cloud. Guess what? The game only sees 'slot2' which is physically not present anywhere on my hard drive, or at least I may not have found it yet.

Were you logged in as you on your friend's computer? I could see them having the saves tied to your Steam account so that you can't just download someone's 100% save file.

actually it is possible as long as you copy and overwrite the same game file exactly as it is in the save game file location.

example:

game1.savegamedata would be the name of the file in slot1 folder ect so in essence you could use someone elses 100% save on your pc if you had the files named correctly ect. if someone wants to post their 100% save i could verify if it works ect.
