Bug with Killer Croc fight?

I am stuck at the end of the first level. I have constructed the gun that fires something (a net?) at Killer Croc, and I am pushing the button it says to push (X), and there is no response. I've tried hitting every other button also. I also tried switching to keyboard control in case it was related to the controller mapping problem. (It told me to hit H instead. I did. Nothing.)

I've tried restarting from the save point and am about to try restarting the entire level.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Restarting the entire level did not help. :( PLUS it's super annoying, because you have to play the entire beginning-of-game cutscene.

did it fire the net? which hero are you using? I had no trouble, just as a precaution try using both heroes, maybe it can only be done by one of them.

Thanks! I finally got it to work on about the fourth try. I tried every possible combination of characters and buttons...it was like I hadn't hit anything. But eventually, one time, the net fired and I was able to finish the level.

This appears to be one of those bugs that occasionally occurs in Lego games, where sometimes something glitches and sometimes it doesn't.

As far as I can tell the solution is to keep trying. I got it by restarting from the checkpoint, so at least you don't have to redo the WHOLE level (including the WHOLE opening cutscene) for ever and ever and ever.

game is bugged ... incompetent devs.
