Thank you, this worked first time for me and saved me a lot of time trying to remember what x and b were meant to be mapped to :D

added the mappings.dat file and buttons, sticks are working, except the L/R triggers and bumpers register nothing. I can set them in the controls option, but they do nothing in game. Anyone else getting this?

For those who need the triggers, I used x360ce and the ini and dll that's on an Assassin's Creed thread elsewhere. Couldn't get player 2 working with that route however. I'd rather deal with the lack of bumpers/triggers and have two players for now.

It's clearly a bug from TT Games, as each and every one of their previous LEGO games works fine with wireless controllers (well, my old MS wired and wireless ones anyway.)

Normally, yes, but I think they've bound them to quick suit select iterators in this game. I used x360ce to get around this wireless issue earlier and the LT/RT act as up and down through the available suits: saves you having to hold Y and then select from the wheel.

edit: wording.

I've tried to do this but the game isn't picking up anything on the controller even when I try to map individual buttons. Launched Lego Marvel just to be sure and it works fine. This needs to get fixed ASAP!

It's not an error, more telling you that it's not mapped to anything on your current device. The keyboard inputs still work, so you should use that to get into the menus and map your controller.

I couldn't find %App Data% where is it exactly?
%AppData% is an environment variable in Windows; it's a little more specific than the directory that Schneeball described, because your user profile may not be in C:\Users. If you do WindowsKey+R and type in %AppData% (No spaces), it will open Explorer at that folder.

Thank you to Schneeball for the mapping file. Worked great on an Xbox Wireless.

TT Games, seriously? This is not a good start to a game. :(

Dang there is no app data in users

If this dosn't work try deleting everything in there don't worry savegames aren't saved there. Restart the Game and try to Map again or put the file in there.

has anyone had success with 2x xbox controllers? The first one seems ok, the second does not exist as far as the game is concerned. Both work fine with other lego games.

I messed around for ages trying to get the second controller working. When I manually mapped the second controller and accepted the settings, the setting just dissapeared. Then I realised that if I ignored the fact that the settings say "no input" for the second controller and simply run the game, it worked fine.

Right trigger lets me cycle costumes without having to hold y

If any of you are like me and were actually willing to shell out a few extra bucks for a controller just for your pc and are having issues, make sure (if it's an option) to have controller on d-input instead of x-input.
