Thank you, this worked first time for me and saved me a lot of time trying to remember what x and b were meant to be mapped to :D
For those who need the triggers, I used x360ce and the ini and dll that's on an Assassin's Creed thread elsewhere. Couldn't get player 2 working with that route however. I'd rather deal with the lack of bumpers/triggers and have two players for now.
It's clearly a bug from TT Games, as each and every one of their previous LEGO games works fine with wireless controllers (well, my old MS wired and wireless ones anyway.)
They don't have a function til you play in freeplay mode :P at least thats what i remember from the old Lego Games
Normally, yes, but I think they've bound them to quick suit select iterators in this game. I used x360ce to get around this wireless issue earlier and the LT/RT act as up and down through the available suits: saves you having to hold Y and then select from the wheel.
edit: wording.
this...you have to go into the controller settings and map it out...sucks...
I've tried to do this but the game isn't picking up anything on the controller even when I try to map individual buttons. Launched Lego Marvel just to be sure and it works fine. This needs to get fixed ASAP!
%AppData% is an environment variable in Windows; it's a little more specific than the directory that Schneeball described, because your user profile may not be in C:\Users. If you do WindowsKey+R and type in %AppData% (No spaces), it will open Explorer at that folder.
TT Games, seriously? This is not a good start to a game. :(
My kid and I thank you! not worthy!
I messed around for ages trying to get the second controller working. When I manually mapped the second controller and accepted the settings, the setting just dissapeared. Then I realised that if I ignored the fact that the settings say "no input" for the second controller and simply run the game, it worked fine.
Right trigger lets me cycle costumes without having to hold y
