Driving backwards in reverse [solved... use letter "Y" on keyboard]

I got stuck driving batman's moon buggy when it wouldn't reverse... eventually I found out that the letter "Y" on the keyboard will cause a vehicle to reverse (in one player mode, not sure what to press if the second player is using the vehicle, nor what to press on a gamepad).
I couldn't find this listed ANYWHERE under any options ingame, nor in the official instructions online. I only found it by trial and error and much frustration, so I am posting this thread to help anyone else who gets stuck in the same way.
I'd suggest the game needs updating so that this (and any other keyboard strokes that are unknown??) is shown in the "Control configration / keyboard control setup" because that was the first place I looked to see what controls were, and it doesn't show that you would ever need to press the letter Y. I'm not going to try it, but if I were to bind the letter Y to another action without knowing that it was important, then would it still work as a reverse? I'd suggest that this needs to be addressed at some point.
