Can't Complete "Europe Against It"

IO seem to have encountered a bug during part 3 of the mission "Europe Against It" The third mirror's reflecting Brainiac's beam, but he's not getting stunned

How would that make Brainiac shrink a little and become stunned?

I'm having the exact same problem. The laser reflects just fine, but Brainiac doesn't shrink and remains immune to damage. Have you found a solution yet, or is it actually hopeless?

EDIT: I found the solution! Apparently, the object you need to use to reflect it MIGHT not have been pushed to the correct location yet. It appears that, even after being knocked off, you still need to push it a little further.
