It's not open world but feels like it has more to it (exploration-wise) than Lego Marvel Super Heroes 1.

The fact that there are individual miniature planets with missions and collections makes the game feel much different but that's not a bad thing.

I'd put Lego Batman 3 and Lego Marvel Super Heroes 1 at a tie but Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 above both. I think Lego DC Super Villains will be better than all of which I mention which is why I already pre-purchased it.

After playing the Marvel Lego games, this one felt disappointing for pretty much that specific reason.

but what the heck i can do in these small hubs?

Yeah, I don't really think of hubs as "open world". Other Lego games had vast open worlds, with missions and 'dungeons' in all sorts of places. This game feels strongly like a step backward in that regard.

Batman Lego games are all like these. The first game was even more linear. It's an level based adventure

Lego games that don't have an "open world" as I'm sure you mean Captain Lance, offer replayability simply through the free play feature on all levels, which allows for the play of levels with an extremely wide choice of characters&/skins and with a far more easy and enjoyable way of collecting all collectibles in the game, which are worthwile to collect, thereore the replayability of the free play option regardless of an open world is what there is to do once you've played the game through one.
