Because I have bloody new Intel i5 6600k skylake and this game sometimes dips lower than 40.
wtf? I have an i7 377-k and it runs fine. What are your full specs? OS version and drivers? are you on intel hd graphics?
install all necessary direct x redistributables as well
Right now I am running Company of Heroes at 60 fps glued.
weird as hell, have you tried installing all direct x versions? are you on windows 10? i have the anniversary update and it works absolutely fine
I have Windows 10 64bit...never updated directX, just video, audio and lan drivers.
full specs are
i5 6600K Skylake
8 gb of DDR4
GTX 660 2gb OC
you should install all direct x versions like 9. Try to see if it works fine by then
does installling dirextx 9 overwrites the newer ones?
i don't think so. It first verify if you have missing ones, if it detects you have missing direct x files it should install itself. If it detects everything is complete, it will abort the installation all by itself.
Also do not forget to restart your pc after installation
Is there a secure link I can use?
And GTX 660 is way too much overkill for this game.
Ram is brand new DDR4 (not the cheap DDR 3 you have)
Probably, unlike most toaster owners, I made the mistake of keeping my drivers up to date.
Also, since this discussion is mostly active, how does one deselect units? it is just a mild annoyance.
