Can anyone point to where the developer said that, so verify how it currently works?
(in the case that the dev did not update the ach)
Wdym? They die now if we leave the game idle while we're AFK??? If that's true, that renders this achievement impossible.
Mountains have always been able to 'die' - the whole annihilation thing, yeh?
He's saying death USED to stop the time counter for the achievement - it could only be achieved if you kept a single mountain alive for the required length,
but that has since been changed so death doesn't restart it - it counts the time across multiple attempts.
Oh! So it's safe to get this achievement now. That's a relief. Thanks for clarifying that. I never really paid too much attention to this "game". I'm suddenly revisiting it now since I realized I now have a second monitor and it would be neat to have it on there while I study and do some other sht. Might as well go for the achievements... hehe
I found it incredibly useful as otherwise I never would have realised the counter stops when my monitor was turned off (which is how I had spent a LONG time with it idling).
Best of luck if you crack on with it.
Wow! Devs really went the extra mile to ruin this achievement for everybody, uh? Monitor off = no counter??? Who would have figured that out were it not for this little program? Jesus!!
