will I now be eaten alive by the community?

hi i'm wondering about playing this game but i don't think i have a 3d video card, if i only have a 2d card can i still play this game in 2d?

How is this on Steam? I don't think my 5 year old daughter could accidently program a game this poorly. Seriously, what's .. what.... why? WHY?!?!?!
