My Wizard does a reasonable amount of damage with each swing of the staff. Reasonable enough to continue and progress, a little slow but still manageable with some grinding low level stuff to get up to snuff. The spells pale in comparison. It is never worth it to just cast spells and just swing staff instead. If I just cast spells I end up not progressing very well or not at all in some cases where staff lets me progress with swing attacks. You may want to re-eval spell damage or spells ability to...
