New item suggestion: lantern posts

Just a simple post that we can place in the world to hang lanterns on. I'm picturing having post and lanterns lining a path through the jungle of an island, or placed next to growing plots. While this can be done by building foundations and half walls, this would just look better I think.

I have been using the tree trunk bottoms and placing a lantern on them. But they only stand on level ground or a floor and can be knocked over by other objects or animals, or accidentally picked up. With one of these in your inventory(not in hand) and standing on level ground it can be dropped and it will stand up straight. Placing the lantern on top is tricky but with practice comes easier as u go.

I'd also like to see a way to add lights on to a raft. I originally though I could just place a hook on my raft but nope. Would be nice to see where I'm going on my raft at night.

I agree with the raft idea, I would like to be able to attach a hook to the raft canopy poles
to hang a lantern on;
it would help especially when approaching an island to avoid the rocks.

In the absence of lantern posts, what works for me is to build a foundation wherever I need light (along a pathway for instance or next to plots) then build a half wall on the foundation and place a hook on the wall....place lantern on the hook and then destroy the wall and foundation and magically the hook stays in place leaving a suspended lantern..
Obviously lose a little bit in the way of material but I find its well worth it
Does not work for rafts and I agree 100% for hooks to be able to be attached to canopy , shelves or the mast.

how about shoot spear/bow to the wall/tree then place the lantern right on the other side spear's tip?
