Easily Find The Game Install Folder for Stranded Deep

If you are having problems finding the game install folder for Stranded Deep. You can easily find it by going to your "Game Library" on Steam. Right-click on Stranded Deep and select "Properties". Click the "Local Files" tab. Press the "Browse Local Files" button. This will open your game install folder.

From there you install Gameplay Mods that use the Assembly-CSharp.dll in the "\Stranded_Deep_x64_Data\Managed\" folder. If you have a 32 bit OS, then the x64 may be x32 or x86. Some mods may have additional files, so be sure to copy all the required files and pay attention to the mod's specific installation instructions.

Crafting Mods go in the "\Stranded_Deep_x64_Data\Data\Construction Combinations\" folder. If you have a 32 bit OS, then the x64 may be x32 or x86.

Some mods already include a folder structure that can be installed directly from the main game folder which should be something like this "\Steam\steamapps\common\Stranded Deep\". Always check the folder structure of the mod you are installing to make sure it is being placed in the correct location.

Managed Folder for MAC is inside the Data folder.
~/Library/ApplicationSupport/Steam/SteamApps/Stranded_Deep_x64.app/Contents/Data/Managed/

I am pretty sure different languages than English have not been implemented yet. As such there are no external language files to be found in the game install folders. To modify the language for say the Crafting files you would have to change the English descriptions to another language manually by editing them. As for tool tip, hud and other things not related directly to crafting, the text for those things would be internal to the game files in a packed or compiled format.

I can't find any of those folders...... idk why but the only thing i find in my stranded deep folder is the game itself any help???

on mac by default it should be
~/Library/ApplicationSupport/Steam/SteamApps/Stranded_Deep_x64.app/Contents/Data/Managed/

When i put that into my finder it says "Folder cannot be found". Am i putting it in thw wrong plce or what???

Hi hazens, I've just download the SDTweaks Mod v0.03.H1.M3 and extract all folders and files to the right destination but it's seems not work. I explain myself, the game work well i can play but the mod doesn't seems on... May i miss something, im pretty noob, so is there something missing? Please =)

You can verify that the SDTweaks mod is installed correctly by looking for the mod version on the main menu. Look in the lower left corner.

If you see a similar message then the mod is installed correctly. If all you see is "0.03.H1", then the mod is not installed correctly. You either put the files in the wrong folder or you did not install both required mod files.

You just copy them into the Managed folder of the game install.

Alright, I had the same problem as you guys but I seem to have figured it out (don't know if you still have the same problem),
What I did is I right clicked the actual game in the StrandedDeep folder in SteamApps and clicked "show package contents" which revealed the contents app and from there i could reach the Data and Managed folders. It seems to have worked out perfectly, hope it helps.
