Easy Building and Crafting Mod V2.0.2 (Compatible with 0.05.E1)
Reshape the islands you inhabit by building faster, spawning in trees for that perfect screenshot, adding some sharks for a dangerous dive, or plopping down fish for a surreal tropical scuba swim. Generate structures, spawn in any item, or test any feature.

*VERSION 0.04 H2 AVAILABLE* (Stable Branch)
*VERSION AVAILABLE 0.05.E1* (Experimental Branch)

This is a semi-creative mode mod. This means while there are features that circumvent normal gameplay, you can still die from sharks and you still adhere to gravity. However, you can now craft or build anything with the basic items found on every single island.

Spawn a hammer or create an entire base, starting with just a stick. You can spawn in an unlimited amount of items, as long as you start with something to bring up the crafting menu.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=385758850

Create that dense, lush, tropical look by adding a variety of trees, bushes, potato plants, and yucca plants to your island. Add density with different types of foliage, and decorate with special structures.

Construct your ideal tropical paradise mansion, design a hellish loot mission where you must swim through a sea of great white sharks, or throw a bit more life into the currently barren landscape. Its the perfect tool for testing out designs, especially with the new building system being iterated upon!

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=385756084

Spawn in and test WIP weapons, loot containers, shipwrecks, or beach a whale!

Enjoy martinis on the beach, pretend to be characters from Lost and press buttons on a broken computer, and relax in your new tented raft. This mod is all about convienence in testing. So, play to your hearts content, without having to worry about eating, drinking, or falling out of trees!

How It Works:
Simply hold left click for half a second on a stick and a spawn menu will open up. Within this menu, you may scroll down the list and spawn in nearly any item, creature, or building currently in the game.

1. Download and extract the file with winrar, 7zip, or simply decompress using Window's tool
2. Open your Stranded Deep folder
(usually in C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Stranded Deep)
3. Open "Easy Building and Crafting Mod Vx.x.x" and drag the file "Stranded_Deep_x64_Data" into the "Stranded Deep" folder and allow all of the files to overwrite (Don't worry! Backups included!)

That's it! Launch the game and play like you normally would.

This means it is compatible with more mods and I don't have to reinvent the wheel when there are several excellent assembly mods out there. I highly recommend SD Cheats Mod.

raft speed +++
axe swing speed,

maybe a less cheap version, where things are half the cost instead of only takes 1 item to make.

less swings for tree chop, etc

nice work though

Nothing like removing the crafting part of a survival / crafting game.. This seems like a quick way to ruin the game.

dude if you were a programmer it would be obvious.

you simply open the files in the stranded deep folder with notepad...lol
plain english programming.

how the hell are you a programmer LOL
maybe its too simple?

Just curious how you did this? (I'm a programmer, so no need to simplify) :)

You're definitely not a programmer if you have to ask. It's extremely obvious if you look at the files.

ZING!
CrookedDeebz 26 ENE 2015 a las 12:14
dude though, can you peruse the files and see if you can up the axe speed and the raft speed? that would be ideal for those of us who dont want to completely cheap out
CalculatedCorvid 26 ENE 2015 a las 12:32
I opened up the Stranded Deep files and edited the json files for crafting and building as txt files in notepad++ (you could just use notepad as well). I altered the existing recipies and then duplicated them for every item I wanted them to be made out of.

Lets remove the parts out of the game that make this game what it is! Woot woot, idiot -.-'

I can definetly look into speeding up that slow axe and raft. The axe would probably be a lot easier because the raft works by lunging its coordinates forward when you paddle and to increase that would presumably just fling you off while the boat takes off like a rocket, but that's just a guess.

This isn't to better the intended gameplay, just figured while it's early in development and there isn't an end game, why restrict those who want to build complex structures?

How exactly are you restricted from building larger structures without altering the files?

Each island has a limited number of trees and rafts currently despawn when crossing grid lines. That means people have to swim to the nearest island, which takes a very long time, fill their inventory as much as possible (maybe 16 sticks), swim all the way back home (if they can find it), and hooray, you've just build 2 floors. Why not play around with the systems a little bit?

Yeah. it's alpha and part of the game.
