How do you relight/replenish a camp fire?

How do you add extra logs to a campfire. This is driving me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane.

When holding sticks in your hand just left click on the fireplace. 5 Sticks for refilling a complete fire.

At the moment there is no possibility to destroy things you've build.

Well, I remember that I put 4 on the "empty" fire and another one from my inventory so 3 from 8 sticks were left.

well you can break down walls, roofs, support beams, etc. By simply hitting it.
