-being able to build a house raft- this would be very ideal from traveling from island to island
-chest- for storing things
also i noticed you can NOT put a bed onto the foundation. and have to place it else where outside of your fort/house.
and i'm sure you will be adding things as the game progresses in development. but these were a couple things i would like to see added personally.
For everyone thinking about trying it, there are some considerations to be made. There are of course some bugs that'll need ironing out, such as the issue noted above about not being able to put your bed inside a built structure, or your raft occasionally disappearing whilst paddling between islands, but that will happen. It's only the first day of Alpha release, after all.
Crafting is still very basic and opaque, though some seemingly more advanced items do appear with no apparent use. For instance, I found a boat engine, a fuel tank, and 2 Jerry Cans used to put fuel in. But as of now, I cannot craft anything with the items, and no wreck I've found appears to be repairable.
Some pretty cool and useful items are also available to be found, however. I've managed to get my hands on a real axe and hammer, a strike-flare, a flaregun, a small air tank, duct tape, a flashlight, and it's bigger brother the torch, all for deeper diving, etc..
As is stands now, I'd say the game is worth the $16 I paid for it. It's already a great time-waster if you just want to relax and explore. And it's only gonna get better from here.
+1 for the bed in shelter issue
That leaves me not survive more than 2 days.
And the fix that one gets stuck in a boat, where you can jump in from above.
otherwise very very nice
greetings
On another note, watching some Youtube and Twitch to check out the game, why would anyone ever starve. It looks like Potato plants can be re-harvested after only a few minutes making them an infinite food source that does not need to be cooked.
So that means.. we will see raft with sail? :D
\o/
I want a Hammer able to smash big stones present on he islands to get small rocks.
I want to be able to cook more than one crab or sardine at the same time , either mount crabs and sardines on a stick or build a basic thing BBQ style so i can cook 10 sardines or 5 crabs or 2 shark meat at the same time and stop to waste my precious firewood with one stick used by crab.
I want to be able to dismount things and recover some of the materials used, not all but a good part of them, like for fire spits recover the rocks or dismantle things to move them in another location.
Thnaks :)
Some "issues" i have with the game so far: I dont know what kind of game you want to make, a hardcore survival, where it is ridiculous difficult to survive more than 10 days, or a game, where surviving gets easier with character development, i know there is no endgame yet(rescue etc.), but i would like to see an option to live "forever" on an island, building an autonomous base.
At the moment that isn´t really possible, because you cant stay on an island, because there are really limited ressources per island, not only food, etc., and there isn´t really a way to transport stuff because you inventory is limited. That makes building a base pretty useless and a waste of ressources.
In my opinion there are not enough rocks on the islands, it´s basically needed for all kind of crafting, for example i spawned near a big island and found only a single rock on it, so yeah i couldn´t even craft the basic tools. As simple as this problem might seem, for me it´s one of the main issues with the game so far, because you can only build more stuff with traveling, what takes much time, especially in the late game i guess and you have i really limeted inventory, if you carry your basic tools some water and food you have 3-4 empty places.
I think this should be more balanced so you can stay in a region.
So this is my experience with the game so far, overall i really like it and hope you make the gameplay more stationary
