About to see how to make it works..
Not a very good trade off. Neither would using shark meat be. Be nice if a sardine could be used to catch multiple fish with the one piece of bait.
Edit because I suddenly had new insights... *cough*... I'm pretty sure any food can be used as "bait" at the moment. :D
Good to know. At least using half a coconut to catch fish is a better trade
1. You put bait in the trap the same way you add wood to a fire. Hold the item (in this case, bait) in your hand while clicking the trap.
2. The guy who caught a Sardine... different types of fish spawn at different depths. A shallow trap catches small fish. Medium depth catches medium fish. Deep depth catches stuff like Cod and Giant bass.
3. I thought this was just common sense stuff, but apparently I'm a rocket scientist.
I use potatos as bait. The fish traps are e very nice feature but at the moment useless. You have to use food to catch a fish. It's just a change of food actually. The count of catchable fish shuould be randomized like 1-2 very common, 2-5 common, 5-8 rar.
Another idea is to upgrade the fishtrap with a coconut bouy (lashing and coconut) ; so you see there you have placed the trap
Swimming traps (use coconuts insteat of stones) could be also an option.
Ps. why I can't eat the anglefish and the triggerfish ? They don't have any poison in real life. It's also possible to eat lionfish (after cooking).
- Thank you for the fix today :-) -
MfG
Would be awesome if 1 piece of bait caught many fish, 'trapped inside' over time.
