Stranded Deep
Islands closer together, with small small tiny islands (without anything on) in between?
Would it be possible? would be so cool to have a chain of islands, maybe even possible to bridge them!

archipelago ˌɑ:kɪˈpɛləɡəʊ/
noun
an extensive group of islands.

Yes.

And... No.

Don't really understand your answer? I'm aware of what one is. Would be nice if we could stumble across them in game, rather than solo islands every so often.

An archipelago is a group of islands. This game IS a group of islands. Unlimited islands.

You've asked for something we already have.

And the "No" was for bridges... obviously.

Ah, my views of it are islands that are fairly close together, I guess if you compared it to real life it would be considered close, just feels far in game is all :)

Something like that!
A poor, computer generated example of an "archipelago" would not have been my definition, no. :)

Here's a real example, an area I know well. All islands are visible but the distances between can vary significantly. (some larger islands but none are "large" per se).

(Incidentally, Nuyts Arch' is rumoured to be the location of Gulliver's Travels)

Touche, I used to live on the Scilly Isles, dunno if you've heard of it, and while the big islands were an average distance, some were walkable at very low tides, and there were also tiny islands about a minute Kayak away. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isles_of_Scilly

My main point is that it would be nice to have some islands closer together, like very close together.
I guess we both just have different opinions about what we class as suitable! :)

Also I've changed the title just to avoid confusion in future! :) as I guess yes, technically we already have an infinite archipelago
