Sharks aren't aggressive in my game
I've been going through a lot of different discussions were half of them were filled with "SHARKZ TOO AGGRESSIVE!!!!11!!1111 LOWER THEM!!!!" For some weird reason mine are not aggressive at all. My game is updated to the last version (0.02.H1) and the only thing they do to me is give me a little nudge to my rafts and sometimes push me off so I calmly get back up on my raft and paddle away if I'm not in the mood to kill a shark, nothing else.

To say the truth sharks aren't even showing up near my islands anymore, I don't know if they can respawn or anything because I did kill a lot of sharks just to test their aggressiveness, the only sharks that spawn next to my island just dive down and disappear. I even tried new worlds just to make sure the problem wasn't on a specific world but still with the same results, friendly, fast and curious sharks.

Is there something wrong with my game or am I doing something wrong?

Have you started a new game after the patch?
As far as I know sharks do not respawn, if you killed the sharks around your Island you can go swimming.

I did, still with the same problem.
I leave my rafts at my island and go swim around with an axe to a nearby buoy, even great whites are hard for me to see there. I do see some marlins though.

Try this : i've killed 5 sharks and put their dead bodies on the beach so their friends can see them. Now they are not so aggresive anymore . Could work for you too!

Thing is... I want them to be aggressive XD

Even being aggressive ,they are not that harmful ,one bite costs me 1 HP,which is not much in my opinion. They just bite then go around.

Thats exactly what I try to say to people that say that the aggressivness is too damn high.

There must be something wrong with your game then or mine... When ever I go into the water I will get repeatedly attacked by 1 or 2 sharks. They will even come over from the max viewing distance to pester me. Once when starting a fresh game, I spawned in the raft with 2 sharks right next to me and they proceeded to knock me out of the life raft and into the water then attacked and drug me underwater 3 times before I was able to get away. I will make a video later showing this stuff, but they also pester me while on any of the rafts including the motor boat. If I stand still for more than a few seconds while on a raft they will keep trying to knock me off. I have yet to go near a shark without them trying to bump the raft.

Yes,please make a video because i still can't understand this "sharks are too aggressive" thing. Thanks :D

I heard all these horror storys and therefore I try to avoid sharks, I only dive when there are no sharks around and go out of the water as quick as I can.
I never got bitten so far.
When I go to the next Island I use the liferaft, set the course and never stop. No shark even touched my raft yet, no problems at all.
This is just my story, I don´t demand more aggressive sharks, I think they should behave as natural as possible.

Here you go. The action starts about 90 seconds into the video. Enjoy the unedited massacre! If you have small children, you should send them to a different room before viewing this video ;-P

This was recorded on a fresh install of Stranded Deep 0.02.H1 with no modifications of any of the game files. Attacks were unprovoked and as you can see the entire game was recorded from starting a fresh save file to the inevitable death by shark in less than 7 minutes! I am going to start a new type of Olympic Games and I will called it Death by Shark and the goal will be to die the fastest from unprovoked shark attacks ;-P

Yes, I made myself a target by not actively trying to avoid them, but I think this should provide proof enough of how annoying and deadly they are ;-)

Lol nice vid man. You die even faster if you turn your back to them.

You quite clearly provoked them at 2:51 .... when you got your water bottle out. ;p

As soon as tigers catch sight of me i see them head straight for my raft. Most times they just keep circling it but a lot of times they ram it like this vid. Its harder to fall off the raft sitting down and sometimes the sharks wont see u untill you're fairly close. Whenever i stand on the raft even if sharks are just a grey blur in the distance they always see u.

Travelling to other islands is usually ok, as soon as i hear the music i just keep paddling hoping i can get away. The tigers can swim faster than u can paddle and the very few times i've glanced behind me the tigers are moving so fast they're leaving a wake. Once a tiger managed to come along side the raft and cut across in front of me.

The great whites while since the last patch swim deeper but they also can swim faster than the raft.

Perhaps, later in development, an option can be added for "arcade" (quite aggressive, and shark music) or "realistic" (curious but not as aggressive, and no shark music) sharks.

Some people just want to play a game with sharks lunging at you and others want them to act more like they do in real life. Despite the shark attacks you hear of, sharks aren't inherently aggressive and often circle you for a while and gradually start coming in to nudge if they get curious... unless you look like a seal, and a great white may charge you! Exceptions and modifying factors always exist, but that's the general idea.

I still don't really see the issue, since as you said, normally one shouldn't just be making themselves a sitting raft-target for them. When you spawn into a new game, if you pick up the paddle and just head straight for the island, make yourself a stone axe first thing, and you're fine.

They're definitely more aggressive about "bumping" the rafts but it's strange because even when letting them do it, I've only come close to falling out of the raft when bumped once or twice, maybe. I wasn't crouching, either. This was in .02 before h1, when they were even more aggressive then currently.

If one wants to wander out into the water around an island and don't like the sharks pestering them, wade around and kill them first. They don't respawn, so once you clear an island area (there's usually 3 loose ones, not attached to wrecks) you can swim around and fish for fish all you want unhindered.

I guess it's an issue for those who don't want to feel like they "have" to kill sharks, but ... eh. Someone recently made a mod that turns shark aggression off or something, so there's always that option.
