About the Co-op eventually/
I noticed you guys will be adding co-op, I was wondering if possible you could make it LAN as well as over the internet. That way it would not require internet to play co-op. PLz and thx!

I'd not prefer to add LAN 'cause the pirate rates might go up because of Tunngle then.
Anyways.
Over LAN you'd only be with your friends, but the sense of this game is that you're lost. Alone. And maybe, among all the loneliness, you find someone.
So I think even in Co-Op you're not gonna spawn on one island. Not on the same, maybe close, but not on the same.

How would LAN make a difference on what the pirate rates are?
Wyrd Feb 22, 2015 @ 9:10am
You don't even own the game, which suggests that you've pirated it and don't plan to buy it and that's why you want LAN, to be able to play over Tunngle or hamachi with the pirated version.

Just kidding.

Or not.

No I havent bought it yet, I dont pirate games.

I currently have plenty of games to play, and I am waiting until this has co-op, because that would really be the only reason I would buy it. Same reason I bought the Forest, for the co-op

Because solo this game probably won't be any fun for them for a long time in its current state.
But if they add Co-Op, they can just pirate it with friends, download Tunngle and play.
With MultiPlayer over servers from Steam it will take longer to crack or it won't even come at all.

I see your point.Thats a shame really, this is a cheap game (price wise I mean) and its sounds like a very good well made game.

Would be nice with LAN Play, I miss those days of LAN game play... ah well

The game is cheap at the moment because of Early Access, its end price may be higher.

However, I would support your LAN suggestion.

Lan no thanks, or Internet or nothing.
CatPerson Feb 22, 2015 @ 4:45pm
Don't care about co-op/mp, but I do support LAN options, because not everyone wants to be online all the time just to play a game with their family, or something. I, too, miss LAN days.

I cant believe people want LAN for play really LAN... is for use Tunngle for pirate version. Secure 100%.

For example the user open this thread dont have the game and want LAN support... 100% suspicious.
CatPerson Feb 22, 2015 @ 4:57pm
...believe what you want, but some of us do play LAN. I suppose we're old school gamers. My husband and I play Borderlands2 offline/LAN all the time and the fact it has offline LAN is the only reason we've played BL2 for so darn long (and still do) ...I don't even know what "tunngle" is.

Just because you or your friends would do so, it does not mean everybody will. "100%"?

And Ross already explained his reasons. Why don't you just believe him?
BossMaster38 Feb 23, 2015 @ 7:51pm
Thx Skarmo.

People can ask questions without having the game, it isn't against the law lol.

LAN play is good, because not everyone has Internet access all the time. Would be nice if it was added.
Lonesome 77 Feb 23, 2015 @ 10:05pm
If this had LAN then I might be able to talk my roommate into getting this since we've been playing Minecraft together and Stranded Deep isn't in an entirely different vein.

So no, LAN =/= suspicious by default :)

Lol, this sounds like you would rather have this game on Uplay. Ubisoft trolling SD forums confirmed
