Thanks for the reply! Hopefully a future patch? :)
Maybe double the burn time for wood we put on them?
How about new items to find on water, wrecks and island, Drfitwood?
Driftwood could be pretty abundant but burn time is half the time of the wood.
5 "sticks" lasts all night. They are not even logs.
Too make campfires last longer... make a rock pit around it (8 rocks + hammer i beleive?)... also to cook a LOT at once, build a wodden raft... put that on the fire and the food stuff on the raft :D
If your hands are empty, look at the fire and hold E, it will go out. You can re-light a fire at any time with kindling (2 sticks to craft). Simply hold the kindling, look at the fire, and hold E. You do have to rub the sticks together by anternately hitting the LMB and RMB. You can reassign the buttons, even to the same one. Thus, repeatedly hitting the same button. You also can add more wood to a fire. Literally, fires last the entire time that you are on the island by adding more wood, fronds, or fibrous leaves when needed...
You want to eliminate the fire you crafted, but you can't?
I always do that, when I leave an island. I just destroy the fire objects in the reverse order of when I created it.
I have a fire, a ring of stones, and the smoker on top.
To remove it, I destroy the smoker, then the ring of stones, and then the fire, which will return 1 stick.
The fire must be extinguished, and no fish should hang from the smoker.
I am sure I misunderstood the problem.
You don't misunderstand, cause this is a topic started in 2015... :D Perhaps it wasn't possible to destroy a fire back then.
There are so many old topics being brought back up these days, so always check the date of the first post.
