Finding the engine pieces
So I found the last piece for an engine I assume you can put together (for what purpose at the moment is unknown to me but it seems like maybe you can potentially put together a boat?) but I am missing 3 other pieces. The one I have right now is the carborator I believe and I found it among one of the boat wrecks. If anyone else has any more information please post.

I found a fuel tank in the console cabinet inside a boat.

Have you found any other pieces? Also any specifics to the boat (i.e. opening a hatch to get inside)? I'm trying to pin down if this is chalked up to luck or if there's a way to gaurentee finding these pieces with minimal fuss so I can figure out what putting them together does (beyond the obvious "it makes an engine" part of it).

I have 3 of the 4 pieces: Carburator, Engine and Fuel Tank. I believe you also need a "Jerry Can" (fuel) and a propeller - which is the last piece I am seeking.

Yes you can mount a small motor on your raft when assembled. :)

Edit: The entire game is randomly generated so the parts could be anywhere on your map which differs from mine and the next player. They seem to be most specifically inside the console cabinets of the wrecks and not the lockers or hard cases.

I got all peices and a working engine, you can attach it to a raft you build yourself, but not to the yellow liferaft.

As above you need carburetor, engine, fuel tank, but you also need propellor and jerry can.

Then you need Duct tape to peice it all together, and a stick.

Usually the pieces are in the "console" compartments on the wrecks.. and if you havent found the doors and hatches in the wrecks to get inside, you really need to look closer ^^
The jerry can is not needed to assemble the motor raft. In the present patch I have found no real use for that - you can empty it into your motor, which doesnt really do anything.

Alright awesome. I'll definitely look out for all of those things. Also I found some flippers on my adventures to find more engine parts but when I picked them up they dissapeared and weren't in my inventory. I'm not sure if its a bug or not but my swimming wasn't really all that different than before I had my flippers.

So far I've found every piece except the Propeller. I built a pretty nice sized house before realizing the boat motor would be very helpful. I've found every piece so far in sunken ships or just ships sitting on land. Usually lockers or console cabinets. I have yet to find a piece in any box. Any ideas where I might locate a propeller tho?

You should do so when the motor tank is empty, then you will see its use.

Propellers are also to be found in lockers.
