A giant squid in the water would be so awesome, even if it were unrealistic.
How is "No" rude? I'm guessing you were(are?) a spoiled brat as a child.
It does try to be "realistic", but it's still a game so there are limits ... just because the days don't last 24h, Sharks attack people sometimes etc ... doesn't mean we need a Kraken fighting a Killer-whale, while you have to escape on a Unicorn ...
PS : from their Trello Page (Roadmap) : Balancing - SHARKS - Attack rate - In Progress
Well for one ... there is a lot of "real" stuff / dangers / sealife to add first ... so you don't need to "limit" anything, I'd rather use the word "focus" & I'd rather see Jellyfish than a Megalodon i.E.
Considering the ocean is not that deep in the game anyway (at least the visible part), it would definitely ruin immersion for me ... and once you get to a certain depth you can't see anything, anyway ... so what's the point ... if you want Sea Monsters in 10,000 ft depth, sure be my guest ...
PS : Speaking about "freaking out" & "being afraid" ... I'd be totally freaked out by a swarm of Jellyfish, my first reaction to a Megalodon would be "Laughter", though ...
I answered No.
Should I perhaps have embellished my response with.
"No. I am not with you. Sea monsters would be entirely inappropriate to a game where "realism" is being artfully applied and having fanciful sea monsters not normally found in such relatively realistic circumstances..... would be a %$#*&^STUPID IDEA!!!.... Thus, with all the appropriate decorum I can muster (whilst maintaining respect for your most esteemed self of course), I bid you farewell as I respectfully decline your most good offer and wish you well in your endeavours. Thank you." :)
Everyone who wants the same stuff, which already exists in bazillions of other Survival Games, why not play those instead ... there are maybe ~2 "Survival" - Games out there, aiming for "realism", please please pretty please, can't we have at least those 2 (this one included) ...
-> but nvm, unless the DEV's completely change their mind about their game concept, we probably can ...
What he said ... just because "MS Flight Simulator" doesn't turn you into a Jet Pilot over night, doesn't mean every game needs to be "Tom Clancys HAWX" ... there is a reason why "Simulators" exist, some people enjoy them, without doing "the real thing" for various reasons ...
This would make sense, if this would be "Jacques Cousteau Online" or something ... focussing on Deep-Sea Exploration ... but we're talking about an ingame Ocean which is ~100 ft deep (Giant Squid i.E. would be ~50 ft, poor Squid can't even swim up & down) ...
There is already an UFO in the game, and I have no problem with that ... so I'm not against "funny" Easter Eggs, as long as they "fit" into the game ... how about a compromise, a Megalodon-Skeleton :P ...
This is what people usually call a sarcastic joke
Tough i was joking i totally understant that you're not with me about that
But still
"no" is not a correct answer, "not me" would've been
