Red Water? Creepy Fog?

This is me playing the newest hotfix and i noticed something whil traversing through the sea. i was paddling my way to an island when all of a sudden it seemed to be dissappearing from my screen and i freaked out! Then all this fog appeared and the water is dyed red! There were 3 sharks around me but i didnt mind them to much cause i shanked them with my crude knife but as i went deeper the water turned normal blue. but as a arise to the surface its red again! Its freaky! Check it out:

I had this happen to me as well. I wondered if fog was an actual weather I just hadn't encountered prior to the hotfix as it wasn't listed. I got the red water too. It looks cool though.

I noticed the water turns red if you are bleeding. Maybe a shark was injured?

Yeah its pretty cool. I honestly thought blackbeards ship was about to run me over or i accidentally summoned the kraken!

The because you hit a Sea Urchin. They are all over the place underwater if you touch it accidentally you will get poisned

Heh, its amazing how people are putting all this together when not realizing other things are a play here.

Oh well, the red light is significant of ... well, sun rise and sun set. It happens regardless of fog. The only time I have noticed the red light from the sun not shining at those times is during a rain storm. And it happens fairly quick so it makes sense that in a short amount of time you would be seeing either blue or black water depending on the time of day.

I think It has to do something with whales. Because when this happened to me there was like 15 whales around my island and all i could hear is them calling. I call it "Whale armageddon"

Well to be fair this was my first time experiencing this and i couldnt find any posts about until i did some more research it was morning everytime this happened so it was obviously fog now when it happens i honestly just keep paddlings away.

its the fog... it makes the water that red... also you can see very well through the red water. i found a few shipwrecks i never would have noticed in the middle of the ocean cause of it.
