Can't climb a palm tree.

Loaded an old saved game and I can't climb a palm tree. Don't you just walk up it or am I forgetting something?

Seafort ladders, do they work in 0.04 stable or still broken like in E4? haven't found a sea fort yet, but i cant climb ladders on ship wrecks so Im wondering.....

Oh. You have to find ladders? I hope they work better than the climbing because I broke my arm falling off those palm trees lol. I haven't played this in a while.

Palm trees are no longer climbable.
Seafort ladders should be working fine again as of v0.04.

Was wondering about climbing, so I tried a few things. I found occaisionaly I can crouch and W, and I clip right to the top then fall and break my arm. Happened twice so I gave up trying, lol.

Thanks Spraycan, any chance we can get shipwreck ladders working again too at some point?

Can I craft ladders or do I just have to randomly find them? I haven't got a bucket, and I'm getting very thirsty!

Just thinking it over, but not posting it in suggestions yet, but how about being able to build a ladder to use getting up to the coconuts and wrecks on the islands where you need something to reach the deck level? A.K.A. a movable ladder?

You can still place a raft or log at an angle and run up them to climb ;)

Thanks flux, I haven't had a chance to test that yet. My current test game doesn't have any land locked ship wrecks yet. Still working on the fire bug, attempting to replicate the raft launching you bug, and searching for a seafort to check the ladders again. Oddly enough the seed I used for a seafort has no seafort now or else I am 180 degrees off course.

not as odd as you might think, updates to the terrain generation code have that effect ;)

Hmmm... that would make the seed system less predictable then. This was with the current build version, not different versions. Last night vs today. I've taken to always using the same seed now, 27, no matter what build we are on. That way I can see any changes and test them out. ;)
