Cant level up Craftsmanship to level 6
I play Coop with my friend and we want to build a gyrocopter. We both are at the same level 5. We tried crafting endless stonetools and spears for grinding the levels. We also built a large raft and somehow we stopped leveling at level 5?

Or are we doing something wrong?

Or is there a command which could help me cause restarting a game... no definetly not

If you are open to potentially cheating...

I don't know where the save game file is when playing co-op; I've never played that way.

But for single player; under c:\users\<me>\AppData\LocalLow\Beam Team Games\Stranded Deep\Data\<Experimental, if playing experimental>\Slot<x>

Is a file called data.json.

If I were to open that up with my favorite text-based or json editor (aka...notepad)

If I look for "Skills"

Here is what I have for my save game where I'm already leveled up on everything:

"Skills": {
"hunting": 14648,
"cooking": 14648,
"harvesting": 14648,
"physical": 14648,
"craftsmanship": 14648
},

What you may want to do is check that section for yourself, on your save game .json file.

MAKE A BACKUP FIRST.

and perhaps check what # you have by craftsmanship. If it's already close to 14648; just keep grinding. If it's still far away, you could try changing it to say... 14640; save the file, re-open the game, and see if just crafting a few more things will take you over the threshold.

(for comparison, this is a different save slot I have; where in game I've only been playing about 3 in-game days; I have leveled up on multiple skills; but I'm perhaps only a 2 or 3 on these; I didn't check in-game to see, before opening up the .json file to copy/paste the values here)
"Skills": {
"hunting": 810,
"cooking": 999.5,
"harvesting": 4105,
"physical": 3326,
"craftsmanship": 2235
}

Again--I don't do co-op. I don't know if your data.json file is stored elsewhere, or if there are multiple locations for "Skills" for the multiple players... so carefully look around the file , and take a backup of the file, before changing anything. You'd hate to corrupt the save game file and absolutely have to start over.

If you do get around to looking at your craftsmanship points, lets us know if there is a problem, or if you just haven't hit the points requirement yet. The last level is quite high.

I exploited a large island. I have cut all the trees down and made uncountable masses of spears and stone tools, nothing changed with the level. I am pretty sure it is a bug:steamsad:

base building gives the most exp towards craftsmanship, so build a house and make it big. Alternately build a huge raft with barrels. Only barrels. General rule is .. "the higher the craftsmanship skill needed to unlock, the more exp value it gives to build"

You could get there with just making tools, but expect to have hundreds of them littering your island if you go that route.

If you run out of materials for your base build, jump grab an axe and destroy it. The return materials will be enough to start building again.

thanks for the tips but I am now for 100per cent sure that it is a bug I built a huge house out of bricks. Nothing changed with the level...:steamsad:

so I hope it will be bugfixed soon.

I usually have to do a 6X6 foundation and make it 2 stories high, but considering the game a bug is very possible. Maybe you could go into a previous version instead of the current. Bugs are usually gone in the older versions, and usually not much is actually changed from one to the next.
