Also, I have noticed that if starting Stranded Deep in fullscreen mode too soon after starting Steam, the friend notifications popups can cause it to freeze. It might be worth disabling the Steam overlay in that case... I hate that thing.
Uh.. how do i do that?
Click on the STEAM one.
Go to settings.
IN GAME
At the top is a checkbox for ENABLE STEAM OVERLAY IN GAME.. uncheck it.
It wont change anything except for STEAM in game access
i meant booting in direct x 9
The second option ( I believe? ) Is Run in DX9
Just click that one.
:-p
Thanks mate!
Booted in direct x 9, got this.
"Switching to resolution 154x0 failed, trying lower one
All resolution switches have failed
Screen: could not switch resolution (154x0 fs=0 hz=0)"
Did you try LAPTOP Mode also?
i dont know how to boot it in laptop mode.
When you open up STEAM, up on the RIGHT of the screen this time, you see the 'controler' looking button?
Push it for big picture mode... then launch your SD from there.
You may not want to stay in that mode, but if it works... cool.
Otherwise just see if you can get to the menu and try the options GRAPHICS change to laptop.
For some reason.. some EA's and some older or port titles seem to run in BIG PIC when they dont otherwise.. case in point.. I had a cruddy carry around laptop.. it couldnt run SoD at all..Zero FPS.. run it in BIG PIC and boom... 30+ FPS..
Same with DayZ on that one.. so cant hurt to try.
OH and BIG PS. You did check your Graphics Card for updates right? That causes more trouble than most things.
Recently updated graphics card drivers for fallout 4, got the latest, so im assuming it should be fine.
