Split screen Co-op + Multiplayer at the same time.

Hello guys. My friend plays this game together with his wife with split screen co-op. We (him + his wife and I) want to play this game together but cant seem to find a way for us to play together. Is there a way to start the game with split screen and then host it to multiplayer?

If you are asking if 3 people can play this game simultaneously, the answer is no. Sure, it's labeled "co-op", but the hard limit of players is 2, regardless of if it's split screen multiplayer, or co-op where you join a game.
