"Return" is another name for "Enter?" Then why not just say Enter??
Why not be thankful for learning something new today and just hit the enter key when a "Press Return" prompt comes up and be done with it?! ;)
-Obtain piece of tape.
-obtain a writing implement capable of making marks on piece of tape obtained.
-using that writing implement, in whatever language you prefer, make marks that represent, to you, what might be interpreted as the English value of 'Return'
-place said tape carefully over the "enter" key, the one on the keyboard above the SHIFT key--specifically, the SHIFT key on the right-hand side of the keyboard, because you probably have two.
CAVEATS: Your SHIFT key may not be labeled. In which case... I can't help you.
EDIT: SOURCE for this workaround. I was the one who had to help (in the 90s), the secretary to the then-geriatric lawyer partner at the law firm, how to CLEARLY LABEL the Space Bar as "Any", because at the time the application that lawyer needed to use had instructions to "press any key to continue". And... they couldn't handle not having a key LABELED 'any'.
Most "normal" keyboards has a Return key at the right side of the letter sections, it has this symbol ⏎, and if there is a num pad section the lower right is usually the Enter key, on a computer they do the same thing :)
The enter key does in fact say enter on it though, should have been your first clue. Most keyboards Don't say "shift" on the shift key either.
So, in this game I play, why is it that when I press enter it exits the room? When I turn around and press return it actually works and I'm back where I started. Does that mean my enter key is broken or is the game just badly optimized?
congrats troll, you actually got some attention today. how soon will the chills set in again though
