I'm only on day 6 and it was my first attempt, so probably best to start from scratch.
Best to start over and TRY to avoid getting poisoned until you are able to have an antidote prepared, (and then STILL try to avoid getting poisoned). (watch where you are walking / swimming at all times).
Healing is a SLOW process in this game, so staying healthy is recommended.
The player will slowly heal over time, but only when their thirst and hunger bars are full, or almost full (within 1 bar of being full), and maintain that level until full health is reached. Of course if the player is poisoned, they must cure the poison first, before healing will be effective.
or a LOT more forgiving lol.... TLD can be BRUTAL, and there's nothing brutal about SD.
In Stranded Deep, you need to set up 3 water stills and keep them stocked with fibrous leaves... each time you take a drink, replace a leaf. 3 stills is more than enough to keep the player topped off with water each day (drinking only)... (If the player has garden plots, make 1 additional water still per plot)
Food... is super easy to get using a fishing spear... even easier is to set up a few bird snares along the beach where birds often land. Bird snares catch food passively while the player is doing other things, and only requires the player to walk up to it and click the bird to collect it, which also instantly resets the snare.... couldn't be any easier.
AND lastly, the player needs to avoid getting poisoned, which is just a matter of watching where they walk and swim.
"surviving" (almost) indefinitely is just that easy... set up 3 water stills, 3-5 bird snares, and avoid poisonous stuff ( and always having an antidote prepared in advance).
