Where is the game save file?

Hello Guys! I want to start a new map that I have downloaded but i don't want to lose the game i'm playing... and as there's no second slot i want to manually get the save file and copy it to another place for copy again to the paste later. Is there anyway to make that? i've searched in other topics about doing that but i didn't find the path of the save file... Anyone can help me? :D thx :D

You will usually find it here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stranded Deep\Stranded_Deep_x64_Data\Data\01234567890123456

(the long number being your Steam ID). ;)

Edit: You could also drag the map into your current game though. No need to start a new game, just so you know. :)

but am i going to have my itens? and my buildings? if i put the map into the same game?

Yes, you would only add an extra island to your world. ;)

what folder do i put the map files? the editor folder? or the id folder? :D I'm real newbie man =/

Copy the files to the following folder and you should be able to add it to your current game using the ingame feature.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stranded Deep\Stranded_Deep_x64_Data\Data\Editor\Maps

Copy your MSP_xxx folder into following folder
"%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Stranded Deep\Data\"

No no no. for 0.51 the game save file is now located in the Documents! C:\Users\(your name)\documents\stranded deep. the location said above is just the games Files not your saves! makes sure you copy just the one out of the documents. but as said you can just add the map to the save instead of starting again, and the proper location (the one said does work too) is C:\Users\{yourname}\Documents\Stranded Deep\Data\Experimental\Editor.

the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stranded Deep\Stranded_Deep_x64_Data\Data is just for the games files, not the save. wouldnt mess with them.
