Binoculars not working? Is this a bug or I don't know how to use it?

Hi guys, i've found a binoculars and when i try to use it i can see a fast zoom and then the binoculars get back to my hand... and i can't zoom =/ is this a bug or there's a other to use it? (I used through the mouse left button)

The only thing i can think of is a bug or you need to hold the mouse left button

Huh I haven't found binocs since the control change. I'll try and do some testing when I get home here

The binoculars for me when holding LMB move upwards and make the 'throwing them away motion' as with everything else then drop away, but then it does zoom in a little bit. They have never really zoomed in a lot i.e into the next island or anything and were mainly good for spotting bubbles nearby from the tops of trees.
I am able to zoom repeatedly though so that definitely sounds like a bug.

I can't do anything with the binoculars. When I press LMB, my hands and the binoculars "flash" once, as if the movement animation is skipped. They just stay in my hands in the holding position, not at my face.

This also happens when I press LMB while holding the compass. I'm not sure anything is supposed to happen, but the same "flash" of 2-3 frames occurs but nothing happens.

YES, I have had this happen too with the binoculars. I believe it is a bug.

The Binoculars are basically a fancy paper weight in SD, due to the way they function- or there lack of- and limits of draw distance (which they cant overcome) they are of no use what so ever, the most broken loot item of the lot. If you find some they aint worth the inventory space.
