solar still collector

Hey all! Need to know if the solar still collect water at the same paste as before? I starded a new game in experimantal 0.43.1 and it does not look that I am collecting any water. But maybe it take more time then before. Not sure please help if possible. Thank you

You need to feed it with fibrous leaves or palm fronds at the bottom before it can produce water now, just like solar stills does in real life :)

problem is you will eventually run out of palm with the rate of them having to be used. You'll find yourself just running around collecting palm from islands and refueling the water. you wont have anytime to do much else. the water rate is stupid in this game now.

Yes they do but not at the rate the palm is used.

Use the cartographer. that way you can have all the palm trees and yucca you will ever need :-)

The whole thing seems silly, and now the Fibre's are re-growing at a much slower rate.
Doesn't even make sense to have those in order to collect water.

I have the same problem with the water still, but I just sacraficed most of my garden for water to survive and it seems to be going great so far. The water still does comsume the palm fronds and fibrous leaves pretty fast though.

Hey thats a good idea. This way can regrow to 'fuel the still. But again my major concern is the fact that it 'needs fuel' to get water, cause it turns it into a whole time management thing on top
of food, just to get water. This addition to the game kinda kills the enjoyment for me, so will see how things go.

Now i have to check fibers to get water to get potatoes to get fuel to go to other islands. The rate plants need water and yucca grows in the game, I think I'm staying home. It's loosing all the fun.
