No Aircraft Carrier in my world?

Hi All, anyone know how to help here? I dont appear to have an aircraft carrier in my world to finish to do the end game. I noticed its never been visible in my Cartographer, so ive always just assumed it will appear on there once i find it. But ive been everywhere and no sight, so have a feeling i dont have one. And ive done so much in the game i dont want leave it without finishing properly!

follow these steps; choose another save slot, start a new game until you can make a shelter and save.... exit and go back to cartographer. Carrier should appear

Thanks very much. But has that worked for you and put a carrier into your original game, not just the new game in save slot 2? As i have just followed the steps, and yes a carrier appears in the map for the 2nd save slot new game, but when i go back to my 1st save slot game, there is no change. Thanks
