Food/Water drain rate
Does anybody know if food and water drain rate is constant or non-linear? It would make some sense from a game perspective for it to drop faster the fuller it is. You can either conserve foot/water by keeping it low or you can heal yourself and keep things topped off.

It also makes sense for it to be a constant rate because that's trivial to code. I'm fairly sure it's the latter (constant rate) but wanted to be sure.

I thought Thirst comes in faster the more you run around in the Sun

Well at least you need to seek Shadow once in a while or go out to sea for a fresh breeze

I think its most effective to eat / drink stuff right away and store stuff in your belly :)

The above is correct, but a little confusing. If you get the message "I need to cool off", it means that you are sunburned. When you are sunburned, not only does your health go down; but your water (and maybe food ) drain rate goes way up. Being high (within 2 bars on both) on food and water helps you heal and slows down the effects of poisoning.
