Tip for dealing with Poisonous Starfish

I use one stick turn it into a spear and then throw it down where the starfish is. I use a spear bc the cost of building it is cheap. This helps give you a good visual before stepping on it also really help in the dark. What other tips or tricks do anyone else have for dealing with them?

Its more expensive but i have actually done this before... crafted a foundation on top of it so no matter what, i could not step on the starfish.... worked great

Lol, I've been doing the same thing for years now! I wouldn't call that purple spiky thing a "star fish" though. It's closer to a sea urchin.

its an aquatic land mine. the best way to avoid them is to not step on them.

I like this idea, even if it is more expensive it worth the extra 3 sticks to never have to worry about walking over it

This creature is actually called a "Crown of Thorns" starfish.

I am too easily distracted, so if I saw a spear I would go get it... and stomp on the "Crown of Thorns"... an empty crate, on the other side, will cover it entirely and won't give me any problems.
