how do you start a fire?

im not sure how, there is no tutorial for the game

First make some kindling-wood in 'C' menu..
When holding it press and hold 'E'.
Push about 8 times your LMB to spin the stick.
Done.

After a while you have to refuel the fire with driftwood or wooden sticks - select stick in your inventory and hold 'E' while targetting the campfire.

First you need to skin it with a knife, then you throw it on the ground (key 'Q') and you pick it up with the RMB and put it on your smoker or campfire (with spit).

Make the kindling bundle. Then walk over to the fire. put the kindling in your hand and hover over the firepit, and then you should see E .Press and hold.
If you did it right, the view changes to your two hands holding a fire starter stick. Now press the mouse button to make the fire starter spin. I hope this helps.

You guys are making this too confuzing. How to cook food: You craft a knife look at the animal and hold E with the knife in your hand. it will skin it and you will get either a small meat. a medium meat. or a large meat. Then you put it in your hand and hold E on the Firespit Or for the smoker/hobostove Take the meat drop it and put it in/on the smoker

starting fire: craft Kindling 'C' And hold E on the campfire.
