Gotta Craft 'Em All!
Love the change to include check marks to show what was 'crafted' on the island! One issue of note is that some items that were crafted on the island did not show check marks. Items like foundations, farming plots, etc and other building pieces that were on the island. This wasn't a big problem, i just crafted one of each missing item again.

Problem I cannot overcome. I crafted the Gyrocopter on the island before this patch and didn't get credit for it so can't complete the achievement.

Tried to break the Gyrocopter with an axe, doesn't work. Hit many times nothing. Since the new map layout, I only found the parts in one place (Aircraft carrier island). So can't make another one!

Help...

Didn't consider that as an option. Thanks.

No problem.

Creating an island was part of the solution. I added a couple custom islands but couldn't find any Gyro parts... So I edited one of the custom islands adding several Gyro parts. Grabbed the parts, went back to the home island and saved. Removed custom island and made Gyrocopter, got achievement. Thanks again for the idea.

This is the only achievement still evading me. My base is on a normal vanilla island, but I do have custom islands in my world. Would that be a problem towards this achievement?
I don't think it will be a problem to have custom islands elsewhere in your world; as long as you do the actual crafting on your base normal island. For me, I thought I was out of luck; I carefully checked that I crafted everything listed with the checkmarks, no achievement. so I just kept playing (without escaping); and at some point I made a coconut flask. I've made those a lot; why that was enough to trigger the achievement, I don't know; but it did.

Thanx, will give it a go. Saw the check marks today, a lot that I have crafted, no marks. But atleast now there's a guide, which helps a lot!!!!

Finished crafting/building every single item in the craft menu. Everything has check marks. Still no achievement. Very unhappy customer....

Removed all custom maps from the Cartographer, went to the game, crafted a rope, and got the achievement. So, having custom islands to prevent the achievement.

So, you have to craft the items on a "normal" island; that's fair enough.
Now a stupid question, I'm sorry: where do I see the checkmarks? are they in the craft menu next to the item? Or I'll find them somewhere else? Because next to the item in crafting menu I don't see any checkmarks; I am on the starting island at the moment, and haven't visited any custom island.

Which version of the game are you playing? I played the experimental version of the game and the patch notes show the addition of the check marks. Yes, they are in the crafting menu next to the item. It's a light grey checkmark if memory serves me well. Good Luck!

Thank you Bearith, I'm playing the .74 stable, which should contain all the new things added in the last big experimental update. I will look better, now that I open the game again. Probably I didn't see them because I didn't know they were something to look for, if it makes sense :D

Good luck! I really enjoyed the game, just wish it had a more robust multiplayer mode. :)

I have another couple of questions, if you don't mind.

One: how do you delete custom islands?
Originally posted by Bearith:

I know I can delete them from the cartographer, but if I do that the island will have an exclamation mark on it, and the only option seems to be to put another custom island in that spot. How do I successfully delete them and replace them with the "normal" islands, the ones created by the game?

Two: if I craft something on a custom island first, but I want to get the achievement, is it enough to re-craft the same thing on a normal island? Or the craft has to be done on a normal island in the first instance?

In cartographer, I just highlighted the custom island, and pressed delete. It was then replaced by vanilla island. And yes, re-craft on vanilla island should work, if all custom islands have been removed
