Anyone has the slightest idea how to fix the plane

Sail around until you find the sea monsters. When (if) you kill them, it unlocks the ability to build the plane parts. They don't require any items to make them.

Lastly, the sea monsters might be a bit difficult to spot because there's only a tiny bit above water that you can see. One of them is next to a dead whale, another next to a large buoy, and the last is in a destroyer and only the antenae (smoke stack? can't remember) is barely sticking out of the water. So, basically, if you see a large plot of open ocean -- sail through it or next to it and use the spyglass. Oh, and the buoy has a light on it so it's pretty easy to spot if you're somewhat close to it and it's night.

But since they said the parts could be crafted instead of rewarded in the new update, what does it take to unlock them? Do we need to find the ship first? I haven't gotten that far yet.

Anyone please correct me if i'm wrong, but from my understanding they just changed it from 'put x in players inventory when y is killed' to 'you can craft x when y is killed', where y is them 3 bosses like before. Haven't played the endgame for quite some time bc happily making / testing my custom islands. Most of my joy comes from exlporing / scavenging / building homes, the endgame isn't really for me. Hopefully we'll see some improvement on that one before full release...

Killing each of the bosses is still going to be required to complete the end game stuff...

" Changed end game Aircraft parts to be craftable instead of rewarded. "

They probably could have worded this better to say that bosses no longer drop the parts but killing them unlocks the ability to craft the parts.

Thanks. Yeah, I agree it should've been worded differently since I thought we didn't have to go head to head with the bosses for the parts.

I just killed the megalodon and all it took was standing on my raft and shooting it with the crafted speargun a couple dozen times... didn't have to get in the water... it didn't try to bump my raft,,, it just swam around and I shot it every time it got close... as soon as the Meg was dead, one of the gyro parts unlocked in the crafting menu (story tab), so that confirms that bosses need to be killed to UNLOCK the crafting.

If it helps, go watch some videos of people fighting the bosses and see what it's going to take to do them... you might see a strategy that will help keep you alive.
