Was the solar still removed from the game?
I have the regular water still, but that's it. And I'm eventually gonna run out of palm froms and fibrous leaves to keep this going. Is this the only option???

Every 2 days, palm saplings, yucca leaves respawn. Use them in the water still. 2. Make more stills, I have 4.

It doesn't work without fueling it. I thought that was the whole point of it being solar.

Fueling it ? You mean putting leaves in the water still so they can rot and give off heat witch turns to moisture. Or fuel as in the potato cooker (fuel still) which gives you gas (fuel)? I`m confuse. I thought this topic is about the water still.

the term "fuel" in this case refers to adding a resource to a work station to generate a product.... in this case leaves used as "fuel" generate water... the idea here is that the leaves evaporate moisture as the sun dries them out, and the condensation gathers on the cloth and drips down into a collection flask... On this game, the design they chose for this doesn't make sense at all, as they make it seem that some sort of pool of water is collected up top (which can't happen unless it rained), furthermore, wind and other factors would dry out the condensation long before it became drops heavy enough to travel downward along the cone and drip into the flask.... This is why, in real life, a solar water still is an enclosed system, where a hole is dug into the ground and at the bottom of the hole place a cup and surrounded by fresh leaves / grasses, the place clear plastic over the top with a small rock or something to weigh down the middle (to make cone shape where lowest spot is directly over the cup) then sand is placed all around the edges of the hole to hold the plastic and seal the system so moisture doesn't escape.... the sun dries out the leaves, which condensates the water vapors on the plastic then heavy droplets travel down the cone and into the cup.

This is a game so we have to pretend the design they chose, works.

The water still in the game is basically the same design... it's just above-ground for visibility. We did this as mocks of a traditional below-ground still just ended up looking like a piece of cloth with a rock in the middle. The above-ground model also allows players to either refill the still or drink from it, depending on what they're looking at.
