Multiplayer vs Co-Op

Is this team Multiplayer, as in, two players can play from separate systems, or is it exclusively split screen right now? And if it's multi, would anybody like to join up?! :D

this game is says it multiplayer on the steam page, how do you play multiplayer?

its a lie, only multiplayer is split screen co-op with mixed controls, the devs ruined the game, it used to be unique but then they added normal survival game features like skills ruining the game. I say play alone or uninstal this game or refund it if u can because it used to be amazing but now its crap. Its almost like the devs dont know how to add a true multiplayer since many many people asked for it before.

You can play in splitscreen mode over the internet by using Steam Remote Play Together.
The second player has to use a controller.

yes and its complete crap unless you have the best internet in the world and the controls are mixed so its pointless

Waiting for multiplayer since 2015..........

I bought the game with a friend when it first came out in 2015. Back then there where "plans" for multiplayer. We are waiting for more then 5 year... i understand i was a early acces in 2015 but 5 years... come on we bought it for multiplayer not remote play that works terrible or some crappy splitscreen. I`ve seen a lot of new content in the past. But stuff you guys promised in 2015 is still not there... and it just pisses me off, dev`s make al lot of promises and after release its just F*ck the player we do what we want and its just not fair to players.

Multiplayer has never been promised, it has always been something Beam promised to look in to and they have by adding a couch coop they think is fun. At this time there is no official statement about online coop coming so it may, or may not come in the future.

Wow what a time warp, I haven't seen split screen graphics since the mid 90's when we played James Bond on a console! How cutting edge.

Our solution is to set a piece of cardboard in front of the split screen on our two Alienware monitors. Perhaps the Devs can invent a square wheel next!

what a bummer was looking around for a new game for me and my wife and this one looked great but no thanks on the split screen and being forced to use a controller.

it is just not going to happen, game has been out for years. Plenty of people who have supported them and bought the game years back including myself have suggested multiplayer multiple times. They know we want it, but how come they have not done anything yet? Well i came to the conclusion that they do not have the skills to do so and are not telling the truth. i since then uninstalled the game and will not return unless they add an actual Online coop and not local splitscreen. I was not expecting someone that is apart of the Beam Team to not understand what coop means.

After all this time of waiting only to see that they have no idea what coop means, hit me the wrong way. just does not sit well with me, that is where i draw the line. Tired of the dishonesty, tired of the lies. Until something is changed as said before i will not be reinstalling this game to play again anytime soon.

i do apologize but theres no mention of splitscreen at all here, it is pretty vague. Just says coop, most of the time if a game is coop and can be played with 2 people on the same system they usually call it local/splitscreen. Either online coop was the original plan and they just could not pull it off successfully and are to ashamed to tell us. Or we are just being lied to about it and was intentionally misleading to reach out to a more wider player base. Look i just want some honesty here is 𝑶𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒐𝒑 going to be ever added to this game? you obviously seem to know more then most about the development of the game, so all i ask of you is to be straight up with us. I have owned this game since it came out, i feel that we at least deserve the truth here. Thank you

bringing this back up because i feel more people should know about their original plans as well as what has been discussed over the past few months. at this point i just do not see it happening. they know we want it and they have known for so long now. i purchased this game so long ago and been waiting. such a shame.
