Building the Gyro

I'm level 6 on everything except hunting. I have all the Gyro parts, using a hammer. Still can't build any of the gyro. Any ideas?

It would be nice to know which activities unlock which items. The gyrocopter has a level 6 gate. So which activity should we focus on to unlock this? And what exactly is "level 6" referring to? I'm guessing it is the bottom level in mode 2 of the watch with the hammer icon. I've built a a lot of things, so I'm not sure what to do.

its the crafting skill and it takes quite a bit to level up

So this just happened: I had just crafted a coconut flask and then the notification drum sound said I leveled up in "Craftsmanship". Which indeed is the bottom hammer icon in mode 2 of the watch.

when you start a new game before you get any levels it tells you

I forgot to mention that it unlocked the gyrocopter. I was at level 5.

So the gyrocopter is a craftsmanship item. We need a spreadsheet...

its an item you craft so its the craftsmanship skill...
