Lan Multiplayer on PC

Me and my wife tend to play games together and we were looking at this game which is the type of game we play.
We would LOVE to buy Stranded Deep BUT... for the PC, the split screen puts us off.
Split screen on a PC is not needed at all... console ? Yes but for PC yea that's a big no no.

It's a shame really the game looks very cool so IF this game (at some point) does go full Lan none split screen Co-op pls guys let us know. ;)

Hopefully online is coming in the future! last we heard about it was over a year ago on twitter

We realise coop is definitely a popular feature the community want added to the game. The current ‘couch’ coop gameplay has proven to be a great testing ground in developments for a future coop mode, but no official timeframe at this stage, but we will keep you in the loop. :)

nothing since but now console release is out the way maybe they will start working on it again.

you can currently use steams remote play to play with someone on another pc, its still "split screen" you can both see each others view and it does require one player to use a controller, also needs a decent internet connection as it streams the hosts screen, but it does work.

but if you want a solid multiplayer experience your better off waiting for, hopefully one day, online coop :)

do not get your hopes up, not returning to this game until they start being honest and telling the truth. I bought this game so long ago around when it first came out, been waiting for online coop for what seems like forever. Once i seen that they said this i just uninstalled it and gave up hope. They obviously have no idea how to implement coop or they would of done so by now. All i ask is honesty thats not a whole lot.

Well if the Dev's count Split screen on the PC as Co-op then this game is not for us (in the end it's down to how the Dev's see it).... BUT if they do add Lan Co-op with no split screen then we will buy the game.

I did the samething - uninstalled the game - i been waiting for Co-op since 2015
i know i cant get a refund for steam but my bank can - we will see

Well the game it's self looks really cool (the type of survival game me and the wife love) and i did think about buying it just to play Solo but in the end i'd like to play it along with my wife.

The Dev's say that split screen is Co-op and they are right when they say that and i bet it works very well on consoles.... But on a PC it's not needed and in my view is it's sort of a step backwards.
We are totally 100% mouse and keyboard players so using a controller, sharing the same Keyboard or sharing a screen (aka split screen) is not for us.
Let's hope they will add full Lan on PC without the split screen.

don't forget that the console versions of this game do not even have splitscreen. Its just singleplayer. not entirely sure what they were thinking on this one.

There's me thinking they went down the "Split screen" route BECAUSE the game was also on console.

This is not a solution for those who only play with keyboard and mouse.

Do I understand correctly that neither LAN co-op nor Online co-op in the versions for Steam and Epic for players without controllers is actually in the game?
